Greetings

Hello, my name is Roman.

Simply I am answering God’s call on my life to ministry. (Philippians 3:14) I believe we are all called to ministry and to what extent only our Lord knows. Some are called to preach, others to teach, some to pray, some to witness, some to heal and others to support. (1 Corinthians 12:7-10) We are all part of the Body of Christ and as that we need to be a functioning part of his body. What good is an arm if it doesn’t work? How can you walk with feet that don’t function? Or how can you see when your eyes have failed you? (1 Corinthians 12:12-26) This is not a commentary on physical disabilities but rather a call to be a functioning part of God’s Kingdom. Jesus died for our sins so we could live life worthy of His calling. (Ephesians 4:1)  More than that, we are called to spread the good news. To tell others about what He has done for us. (Mark 16:15)

That being said I have recently begun to question why it is that I have so many doubts. Why have I failed so much when Jesus has saved me? Why do I pray for someone to be healed and they are not healed? I can go on and on.

My desire is to seek God’s truth. We have the Bible but how many of us truly seek its wisdom? How many get their knowledge from radio shows and church only? Not to speak of those who don’t even do that. We are given an opportunity to a greater relationship with the Creator of all Creation, a personal relationship that puts nothing and in between Him and ourselves.

As I begin to answer His calling on my life I am willing to reconsider my own theological philosophy. I am willing to consider that many truths that I cling to are false. I am willing My Lord, to receive your rebuke. I am willing to receive your correction and to gain wisdom from it.

I don’t wish to and will not be just another spoke in the wheel that has lulled God’s children to sleep. I believe that some of you want change. Some of you feel a desire to have a deeper relationship with Christ. I am with you brothers and sisters. I have had one foot in and one foot out, dancing back and forth for the first ten years of my Christianity. Those days are over. As evil in the world has increased it is time for our righteousness to increase.

But, we must stand firm in the work of God above all things. (1 Corinthians 15:58)  It is good sometimes to read commentaries. To seek knowledge from others who have greater experience and insight than ourselves. Knowledge is powerful. However, we as Children of God need look no further for absolute truth than God Himself. We have been given His Word and we have been told to seek, to ask and it will be given to us freely without finding fault. (Mathew 7:7-9, James 1:5)

As I begin to seek I will share with you what I find. This will be my journey from part time Christian to full time servant of the Most High. I also hope to answer some of your questions as well as seek wisdom from many of you. I have seen that many of you are answering God’s call to assembly and I wish to be there to serve with you. Remember the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. (Mathew 9:37)

Humbly your servant,

Roman
